1. Agreement to terms

By creating an account or using Locavori, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Locavori is operated by ComunAI Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Locavori. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian. By using Locavori, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You may not create multiple accounts or share your login credentials
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

4. Community guidelines

When using Locavori, you agree to:

• Treat other users with respect and courtesy
• Only list produce that you have grown or legitimately obtained
• Provide accurate descriptions and photos of listed produce
• Honour swap arrangements you have agreed to
• Not use the platform for commercial resale at scale
• Not post spam, misleading content, or illegal material
• Not harass, bully, or discriminate against other users
• Not attempt to scrape, hack, or disrupt the platform

5. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you post on Locavori (listings, photos, messages, reviews, neighbourhood posts). By posting content, you grant Locavori a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines. See our content moderation process for details.

6. Swaps and exchanges

Locavori facilitates connections between growers but is not a party to any swap or exchange. Specifically:

• Swaps are voluntary agreements between users
• We do not guarantee the quality, safety, quantity, or condition of any produce listed
• Users are responsible for ensuring produce they share is safe for consumption
• We do not mediate disputes between users, though we provide reporting tools
• No money changes hands through the platform — Locavori is for non-commercial swaps

7. Food safety disclaimer

Locavori is a platform for sharing homegrown produce between neighbours. We do not inspect, certify, or guarantee the safety of any food shared through the platform. Users should exercise the same judgement they would when accepting food from a neighbour.

If you have food allergies or dietary requirements, you are responsible for communicating these to other users before accepting produce.

8. Moderation and enforcement

We may take action against users who violate these Terms, including:

• Removing content that violates our guidelines
• Issuing warnings
• Temporarily or permanently suspending accounts
• Reporting illegal activity to relevant authorities

You can report content or users that violate our guidelines using the report function on listings and posts.

9. Intellectual property

The Locavori platform, brand, design, code, and original content are owned by ComunAI Ltd and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Locavori and ComunAI Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Any illness, injury, or loss resulting from consuming shared produce
• Disputes between users
• Loss of data beyond what is within our reasonable control
• Interruptions to the service
• Actions or content of other users

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

11. Privacy

Your use of Locavori is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

12. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Profile Settings. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your personal data, listings, messages, and reviews.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of Locavori after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
